Masking Fluid, or masking gum, is usually used to temporarily block the painting process using watercolors. Useful so that the area that is given the masking fluid is not exposed to color. Usually the masking fluid will dry for +/- 10-15 minutes, after which it is dry and then colored again. To remove the masking fluid on the paper, just rub it gently with your fingers or a pencil eraser. After being applied, it should not be left on for more than 1 day.
